Restaurant reservations on WordPress
Keep your WordPress website and manage reservations in DineMio. Start with a booking button or add the floating widget. No dedicated DineMio WordPress plugin is required.

Open setup checklistIn DineMio, check service hours, timezone, tables and booking capacity. Open Get started and copy your website booking link or embed script.
For a simple option, add a Buttons block, label it “Reserve a table”, paste your booking URL and publish. It works without script permissions.
For a single page, use a Custom HTML block where scripts are permitted. For site-wide availability, ask your designer to use the site’s existing footer script tool. Avoid editing theme files; theme updates can overwrite changes.
On self-hosted WordPress, your role and security configuration determine whether script tags survive saving. WordPress.com currently requires a paid plan with hosting features activated for script tags. If scripts are removed, use the normal booking link or consult your site administrator.
Save and publish. Open the public page outside the editor on desktop and mobile. Confirm the correct restaurant, language and date/time options. Use DineMio’s safe preview for a complete rehearsal without sending real booking emails.
Add a button labelled “Reserve a table” in your website editor and paste this booking link as its destination. Publish the page. A normal link needs no plugin or custom JavaScript.

On desktop and mobile, check the published site, confirm the correct restaurant opens and try choosing a date and time. Use the safe preview below to rehearse submission: it saves no booking and sends no email. Do not submit fake reservations through the live form.
Open safe preview- Check that the saved page still contains the script and the correct restaurant identifier.
- Install the script in one place only. Remove duplicate installations through your normal editor, keeping a backup of changes.
- Refresh the site cache or CDN after publishing. If a performance tool delays scripts, test its settings with your designer.
- Check whether a consent manager or browser extension is blocking the widget. Respect the site’s consent choices; do not disable protections to force it to load.
- Keep the normal booking button as a fallback and contact [email protected] with the published URL.

Publish and verify the correct restaurant and date/time selection on desktop and mobile. Use https://dinemio.com/widget/your-restaurant?preview=1 for a safe rehearsal, without creating real reservations. Return the published URL and any remaining blockers to the owner.The owner records installation progress and confirms the first genuine booking separately in Get started. Never share your account password.
Common questions
Does DineMio run inside WordPress?
Your website presents the link or widget; reservations, tables and guests are managed in DineMio. You do not maintain a reservation database in WordPress.
Is this a free WordPress reservation plugin?
No. DineMio is a separate subscription service with a 14-day card-required trial for eligible customers. You can add its booking link or widget to WordPress without a dedicated DineMio plugin.
Do existing TableLite widgets need replacing?
No. Existing working TableLite links and widget scripts remain supported. Only change a working installation when you need to change its configuration.
